I am a young doctor in Applied Mathematics. My research interests are Numerical Simulations, Parallel Computing, Numerical Methods for PDEs, Numerical Linear Algebra, Krylov subspace methods, Multiscale modeling and Machine Learning.
Project title: Hybrid aerogels for sustainable construction: a new modelling approach to characterize effective properties.
Supervisors: Prof. Salah Naili & Prof. Vu-Hieu Nguyen.
Description: We study the multi-physical behavior of aerogels in development and to better understand the microstructural effects on their effective properties. We will focus on determination of the effective mechanical and thermal properties. We propose a combination of a 3-scale homogenization model developed by the MSME lab and machine learning techniques, particularly artificial neural networks, to make predictions.
